Each year I invite someone different to make a wine in my cellar and interpret with their vision and creativity the fantastic vineyards of Serra de São Mamede.
To celebrate 10 years of Sidecar, Dirk Niepoort once again took the lead masterfully, crafting a single plot wine from a century-old vineyard in the Serra de São Mamede.
The very light and vibrant ruby colour immediately reveals the freshness and subtlety of this extraordinary wine.
The nose is fruity and fresh, instantly transporting us to the Serra de São Mamede.
On the palate, it is fresh, delicate, and complex — a wine with great ageing potential that only an extraordinary region could produce.
